Great conversation. Yoga-Sadhana as activism a very important point raised by JDS. Where traditional activism can create positive change on small to large scales, on an individual to community basis, the point JDS made was promoting individual transformation. A process that yes, is hard work but, certainly influences the energetic exchange with those that come in contact with such people that transform themselves through such practices. Works on many subtle levels that might not be obvious or overt like traditional activism, but can still be very potent as it works energetically through vibration, which is what is exactly revered and worshipped as the ‘Guru’ in the form of potent Divine vibration in the Sikh Holy Scripture. Even if a consequence of a current embodied human Guru is attachment to form, the potential potency of direct transmission of grace, direct satsang and having someone in front of you literally trampling down the trackless path ahead, it’s an amazing blessing and not to be discounted.
